Editorial policy
Genuine Story House aims to make story craft clear, lively and honest about its limits. We distinguish explanation from opinion, check factual claims before publication and revise the record when something is wrong.
Accuracy and clarity
We review factual statements and explain ideas in language readers can follow. Craft advice is not a universal law: when a suggestion is one possible approach rather than a settled fact, we say so. We avoid presenting a personal preference as the only way to write.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to satisfy a partner. If we find a meaningful error, we correct it and make the change clear where appropriate. Readers can send corrections through the Contact page, with enough detail to help us locate the issue.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner-supported material is labelled clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee a favourable mention. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that applies, the image is identified accordingly.
